Poker rooms are in a constant state of struggle for customers. Their work is being evaluated not only by regular poker players but also companies that monitor the development of the gaming industry as a whole.
One such company is EGR Global, which identifies the best operators in the gaming industry. The EGR Operator Awards 2019 ceremony was held on Thursday 24 October at Grosvenor House, London, at which prestigious awards were presented.

This time it included poker rooms such as 888poker, EuropeBet, Kindred, PartyPoker, Spartan Poker and PokerStars. Among this list, the direct competitors of each other PokerStars and PartyPoker stood out more than others.
The previous two years, the award went to PartyPoker and 2019 was no exception. PartyPoker once again earned the prestigious trophy and became the best poker operator of the year!
Every time PartyPoker confirms that it is one of the top poker rooms. Constant updates and changes for the better have caused a 20% profit growth in the latest report from the company.

Kahle Burns won second WSOPE bracelet in a week and going to get the third one
Kahle Burns has won his second WSOP bracelet in a week! The Aussie has won Event #13: €2,500 Short Deck No-Limit Hold'em at the 2019 WSOPE in King's Resort. https://t.co/LYqbtWqX7W pic.twitter.com/PHUtk3MF1o

On October 22, Burns won his first bracelet at the WSOP Europe, knocking out Sam Trickett in the heads-up Platinum High Roller for € 25,500.
And now, a couple of days ago he became the second time WSOPE 2019 champion.
With the fact that the game lasted almost two hours, the heads-up was quick and only two hands were required by Burns to win. In the last hand of the day, the Australian opponent, Mining Laser, showed down with a push from a button, holding K-J, and Burns called with A-J. The first card to be placed on the table was an ace. The German took 62 900 € for the second place.
Well, a very good result for a “beginner”. Burns was the first and the only player who won two bracelets at the WSOPE 2019. The second victory brought him 101,800 €.
Now he is one of the leaders of this tournament.
Battle of Malta scandal over shirtless dealers
At the 110 € buy-in women’s tournament of the Battle Of Malta series, participants noticed a strange “peculiarity”. All dealers were sitting at the gaming tables being stripped to the waist.
A similar fact confused and even outraged some of the tournament participants. Poker player, women’s rights activist and Unibet spokeswoman Dive “Baltic Blonde” Berne attended this “event” and shared her impressions on Twitter.
I’m not really sure how @CM_Poker @BattleOfMalta think this is an acceptable gimmick for a ladies event. I, like most of the ladies here find this demeaning for both the players and the dealers! 🤦♀️ pic.twitter.com/1evp783HIh

She was supported by Irish poker player Dara O’Kearney with a story about how one of the dealers in the high roller tournament told her that he totally refused to be naked to the waist and was expelled from the Ladies tournament. It was one of the best professional English dealers.
This story received quite a wide response in the poker community and became famous among other poker bloggers, journalists and famous players.
The reaction of the organizers of the women’s tournament was not long in coming. They posted on the Battle of Malta website their apologizes:

EPT Sochi was held in 2017 for the first time. The Main Event champion was Israeli poker player Uri Gilboa in March 2019. In October, the series’ main event was won by Yi Ye poker player from China.
Main Event WSOP Europe 2019 is launched
At the WSOP Europe series in Rozvadov, the Main Event kicked off. On the first day of the tournament, with a guarantee of € 5,000,000, 194 gamblers played poker. Comparing to last year, Day 1a collected a total of 54 entries.
The event gathered 72 entrances and a total prize pool of 6.84 million euros. It was shared by the 11 best players of the event. The WSOP ME 2013 champion Ryan Riess, the famous Malaysian businessman-high roller Paul Foix and the German pro Daniel Pidun got into the min-cash. The remaining 8 winners fought for the title in the final day of the tournament.
Also, Negreanu lost four all-ins in a row to the winner of the ME WSOP 2019. 984 people bought stocks of Negreanu at the WSOPE 2019 in the amount of $ 400,000. So far, Negreanu has shown fairly modest results: five hits in ITM and a total win of 132,000 €.
After this WSOPE I’m strongly considering playing only one bullet in any re-entry tournament.
By going in with a mindset that you only get one shot, I think it can have a positive affect on your play.
Too often me, and others make -EV decisions in re-entry
— Daniel Negreanu (@RealKidPoker) October 27, 2019
The series has approached its equator and the poker player will still have chances to please people who believe in him. The events of yesterday’s tournament upset them very much since Negreanu lost as many as four all-ins a row and flew out of the event.
We will keep you updated on the latest events of the tournament! Do not miss the next weekly poker news!
